The Lord can hear each person’s sincere prayers especially when it’s for the welfare and wellbeing of others!!!
This is the year which marks 100 years of the Advent of the Lord Shri Sathya Sai Baba on November 23, 2025.
I will first start off by saying that I am not a “religious or a ritualistic man”. I do have reverence for all the names and forms but do not know how to conduct a proper ceremony according to our Shashtras.
I came into the fold of Sathya Sai Baba mostly in my vision of seeing his form. It was my mother-in-law who would constantly ask me to read Sanathana Sarathi (eternal charioteer). I wasn’t interested as I had a retail business and was busy from the morning starting at 9:00AM to 11:00PM; 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. I would tell Amma “if you enjoy doing all this please be my guest as you are home and can do as you please!!”
Since 1999 I have been initiated in Yoga/ Meditation and for me it happened very effortlessly. I did my true diligence of practicing exactly as requested by the teacher. In 2001, I met another teacher who never mentioned anything about Sathya Sai Baba, but he started appearing very often in my dreams and visions. I could see everything in detail and got other siddhi along with it.
Over the past 25 years I have experienced many types of experiences, spiritual, physical, and personal all because of my mother-in-law’s persistence in reading the magazine.
In the house since 2015 Vibhuti ( Sacred Ash) has been manifested on Sathya Sai Baba, Shirdi Sai and other deities in our prayer room. Sai Baba “ Says it’s my visiting card” to show you my arrival in your life.
As this is the most amazing time of the year Celebrations are being held all over the world in grand style with pomp and show. The Governor of the state of New Jersey has recognized the Sathya Sai mission in serving humanity for a century. The city of New York has recognized the same, Times Square had 24-hour live feeds of the same mission and the message of Love all, Serve all, Help ever, Hurt never. Free education, free medical care.
I in my own limited capacity wanted to see my loving Lord as I couldn’t physically participate in all the major events celebrated around the globe.
This was my sincere and earnest prayer….
Dear Lord,
I know that you are extremely busy all over the world during this holy time of the month where every single devotee, state, city, organization is praying incessantly to see you, have your blessings upon them. You have granted me many, many visions of your presence and validated with the outcome exactly as specified in the vision.
This month during your Centenary Birthday I want you to show your presence in such a manner that I can show to share with the entire world that my Swami truly listens to your innermost wishes and grants them when it is deemed the best time. Swami please come in the next 5 days to the house.
In the past 20 years since I have been given a photo of Sathya Sai Baba and Shirdi Baba yet have never purchased a garland to adore him. I used to put the ready-made plastic garland or simply nothing at all to adorn the photos.
On Friday morning, November 21, 2025, I suddenly had the urge to go and buy a fresh flower garland for his 100th birthday. Even though his birthday was on Sunday I had calculated my time when I could get it . On Saturday I volunteered to help with cooking 1,500 meals for all the shelters in New Jersey. So the question solely depended on what time I would return home to accomplish this. Sunday the store did not open until noon. The center had a birthday celebration planned.
So now only Friday was my option. I went to Balaji flowers and requested a large 6 feet long garland. The clerk mentioned all that was available was only a 1 foot, 2 foot and 4 foot long garland. Given the size of the photo I knew the first two options were not going to properly fit.
She had only one 4 foot long garland at that so naturally I purchased that one jasmine garland wrapped inside a small box. I arrived home around 1PM. The next dilemma was “where do I store this now?” It had to be refrigerated because it was fresh flowers. I didn’t want to keep it in our fridge at home as we store leftover food and dairy products. If I leave it out it might end up getting spoiled due to the fluctuating temperatures.
Then I said to myself “either way I am planning to adorn you so let me just begin today and celebrate you longer.”
The rose garland fits perfectly on Sathya Sai Baba. Now for the jasmine garland I unraveled the flowers from the box and held it up, however it was not connecting from either side of the photo. I was thinking now how do I make it big enough or at least long enough so to have it sitting comfortably below his waist.
I found a cotton shoe lace and tied it to each end which fit perfectly as there was no hook or nail on the picture to hang anything. By the time everything was completed the time was 2:23pm.
Saturday morning when I stepped inside our Swami room to light the lamp and offer my prayers I stood back in awe and was astounded. The garland had grown! I could not believe my eyes and immediately called my daughter to come up and see. I showed her a photo that I had taken after the garland was finished so I had a comparison to make. She also said “ohh my goodness it has become longer!”
Sunday; it became even longer. Monday was a little longer. Tuesday and Wednesday was the “grand finale” of this miracle and it had stopped at the head of shiva adorned with snakes.
My interpretation of this is that he is showing that Expansion is my life story, each one has a little more to give and make someone's life a little better than your comfort level.
Spread love amongst all whom you come across in your life regardless of your conditioning, upbringing, or past. Take a step forward and help everyone regardless of what they have done to you.
